The objective of ECOSTAND is to provide support for an agreement between three regions – the European Union, Japan and the United States – on a framework for a common assessment methodology for determining the impacts of Intelligent Transport Systems on energy efficiency and CO2 emissions.

This support will involve the formulation of (i) policy advice, in the form of a "roadmap" with steps to be taken to reach aforementioned agreement and (ii) a joint research agenda to identify research gaps in the understanding and to propose solutions to enable the methodology to be developed.

This will be achieved through a series of international symposia, rotating amongst the three regions, which will secure cooperation of key experts and serve as a forum for exchanging information, culminating in the production of recommendations & reports.

Get involved

ECOSTAND will create a network of experts who can contribute to the symposia, encouraging other regions to participate in the trilateral cooperation. If you are interested, please join us on Linked in or contact the project Coordinator.
